November inspirations by Tartine Peluche

Hello crafty friends, I'm back to share with you my november inspirations.
This month I've used Homespun collection and Vintage Christmas.

************************************
*Made With Love...*
( Homespun)

First, I work my photo, several layers of paper and fabric. I used only the frame of the chipboard *Sweet Home Vignette* I embossed it with AVOCADO powder. I cut some paper flowers from *Homespun Mini* and put them in a different layer with some printed chipboard. Some are detached from the cardboard to make only one paper.

I used chipboard *Made with love* as if it was a tea latte, the *lace9A* represents the milk froth.
Sprinkled a little love in his tea with *ingredients* chipboard. Hearts come from negatives of the ''tea cup'' chipboard. I added a few flowers pieces of *lace6*.

Frame come from *Printed Chipboard*

*Made With love* title was embossed with a mix of *baby pink* and *bubble gum* powder.
I really love the result, very subtle.

All the lilies flowers are mixte of all pink lilies flowers from flowers collection of BFS.

My next one, my fav!
...
*Tea Party*
(Homespun)

Layering of my picture was created with the two side of homegrown paper, lace 3 and lace 7B dyed.
My title Home Sweet Home was embossed with a mix of Fern and Speckled Mint powder.

I used Homespun Blooms on this layout, This color ... WOW!! love it!
I separated the flowers and lattice from the lace 7B and I used them separatly.

Lace Round chipboard was embossed with Goldylocks powder and added some pieces of printed chipboard.

Stamp Crackle with Fern embossing powder, Garden Frolic with yellow ink pad
and pieces of lattice, give texture to my background.

I'm addicted to shrink plastic, it's often the way I use stamps, here's an exemple here
with the stamp Hospitali-Tea. An easy way to create unique embellishments.
I used Late winter lilies that match perfectly with homespun blooms. A few buttons and real hazelnuts finished the combinaison of my embellishments.

And here is my Chritstmas layout of month.

*Joy*(Vintage Christmas)

I create a very simple layout because the paper alone gives all the magic effect. I think is one of my fav in this collection. I've only used flakes stencil and ink with seedling and
 sequins for my background.

I embossed Frosty Flake with the new color, Taupe, it,s look like precious metal.
I cut paper flower from Greeting Cards paper.

Look at that! My chipboard really shine, love it so much!
To add texture just a few mauve seedlings.

I've been using a lot of metalwire for a while, I'm rolled up everything I find... LOL
After embossing with Taupe powder my title, I added wire on my chipboard and under my photo.

And To finish my layout, I used a  few magical red flowers from Homespun collection.

Meet our November Blue Fern Fan of the month.

This month we are delighted to welcome the talented Dorota Kopec as our Blue Fern Fan of the Month.  You are going to love seeing what she has created for us using the Blue Fern Vintage Christmas collections.  Her style + Blue Fern's style, are a perfect match!   We will turn it over to Dorota now:

Hello.  My name is Dorota and I come from Poland.  I became interested in scrapbooking 10 years ago and have been creating ever since.  Scrapbooking is my great hobby and my job.  I love making cards, albums and other art objects.  Whatever I make it will always be layered and detailed.

I am drawn to vintage, shabby chic styled crafts which I love to create.  I also appreciate the talent of mixed media artists and love the variety of styles and textures that it produces.  I am always inspired to learn and try new techniques in both teaching and my crafts.  I have been teaching at scrapbooking workshops for the past several years.

My first project this month is a set of 2 Christmas bulbs.  I have used paper from the Vintage Christmas Collections for the background, and cut pieces from the paper for accents.

For this bulb, I painted a the Blue Fern Holly Frame chipboard piece and added it to the ornament.

For the second ornament, I added the sweet pair of mittens from the Cozy Christmas chipboard collection.  They are painted and covered in glitter.

Blue Fern Christmas Blooms were added to each ornament.

October inspiration by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios fans,
Vera Shelemekh is here with some fresh inspiration. When I received the Homespun collection I just put away everything and started to create. I made a layout and a cookbook for homemade receipes to share with you this month ) This collection is so heartwarming and so cute that it became one of my fav Blue Fern collections.
But first, you know. winter is almost here and I'd like to create some wintery mood here on blog and only then warm you with something cosy )
So here it is

There is a lot of wonderful Blue Fern Studios chipboards on this page:  Swirl ornaments covered with fire engine glitter and glistening sand embossing powder.
Berry stems are covered with Icicle Embossing powder.
I also separeated some  framed winter words from the frame and covered the letters with glistening sand embossing powder.
The tree itself is cut from the remnants of Vintage Christmas - Deck the Halls paper and painted with brown acrylic paint and Taupe embossing powder.

Little Girls by Lisa Landry

A huge thank you to Lisa Landry for joining us this month as our October Blue Fern Fan of the Month.  We hope you have enjoyed her layouts using our new Homespun Collection as much as we have.  She has taken us back in time as she remembers people and events from times past.  Here's Lisa with her 4th layout this month.

Today is my final layout for Blue Fern's October Fan of the Month. Thank you so much to Blue Fern Studios for allowing me this wonderful opportunity to work with so many gorgeous products!  My layout features a 1965 photo of me when I was just 4 years old.

I was absolutely determined to use more of the stunning Blue Fern Lace in my final layout.
It fits perfectly in the center of this gorgeous Hospitality page.

Aren't the Homespun Blossoms soooooo pretty?!

My layout is 100% Blue Fern flowers and lace. I used both sides of the Tea Time page to hand make some of the flowers.  Using flower punches, I edge inked and then formed the petals, gluing one flower inside the other.
The flower centers are made by sprinkling Blue Fern's Wintergreen Seedlings on top of a dollop of glue. The tiny red flowers have a white pearl center.

I also hand made some Salvia-type flowers.  I ran a wire through the center of each punched flower, using a bead in between as a separator, gluing everything as I went.  The tops of the wires (the stamen of the flower) are coated in glue and then dipped in Blue Fern's Wintergreen Seedlings

I wrapped the wire stems around the beautiful Blue Fern Wanderlust Vine with its detailed leaves and adorable bright yellow flowers.  This vine also has black gypsophila flowers on it that I removed because of the color palette of my layout.  I divided the Wanderlust Vine into two pieces so that I could use one on each side of the photo.  What an array of beautiful flowers!

It has been such an honor and a complete joy creating this month with Blue Fern's gorgeous Homespun collection.  I will definitely have more creations with this collection on my blog in the near future.
Thank you for stopping by and have a GREAT day!  Lisa : )

October inspiration by Wendy Scholten

Hi All,

It's my turn on the blog for Blue Fern Studio's today and i have 3 layouts to show you.

The first one with a picture of me and our little girl when she was only 10 months old is called:
Adore
I made this with the Memoires collection. I love the autumn feel from this paper collection.
I used the Photographic Record paper as my background paper and a few calling cards behind my photo. Next i embossed my chipboard Rose frame with the Sand&Sea embossing powder and my title Adore with Fern embossing powder.
Then i made clusters with the pieces of chipboard, the Ivory braided trim and some flowers; Garden Florals and Wanderlust Lilies

First i prepped my Homemade paper with clear gesso, behind my photo i used gesso, a stencil with moddeling paste, some sprays and the Grungy Grid stamp with brown ink.
Next i embossed all of my chipboard pieces, the Folkart frame, Vintage Key and Great Outdoors title with Taupe embossing powder.
Then i started to put everything together with the Lace 3, pieces of the Lace 4, my flowers; Homespun Blossoms and Harvest Lilies and some items of my own stash.

Good Vibes
I made this layout with a picture from a Nature park called Brunssumer Heide where we celebrated Christmas last year, we actually had some snow that holiday.
I used the Vintage Christmas 1 and 2 collections for this one.
First i used a stencil and some moddeling paste with pigment color on the Holiday Cards paper to give my background a bit more color. Then i cut a few flowers out of the Deck the Halls paper and used a piece of the same paper behind my photo.
Next i embossed my chipboard pieces: Looped Frames and the title Good vibes with Snow embossing powder.
And placed everything on my paper. Then i made clusters with the Happy roses, cut out flowers and some other embellishments from my own stash.
